Prime Minister Antonis Samaras will present, tomorrow (15 January), at the European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg the priorities of the Greek Presidency. A press conference by the Prime Minister, Commission President, José Manuel Barroso and the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz will follow.
Mr Samaras will be accompanied by Finance Minister, Ioannis Stournaras, Development and Competitiveness Minister, Kostis Hatzidakis and deputy Foreign Minister, Dimitris Kourkoulas.
The official opening of the Hellenic Presidency of the Council of the EU in Brussels will take place on Tuesday, 14 January at 20:00, at one of the most prestigious cultural venues in Brussels, the Bozar Center for Fine Arts.
