The first Competitiveness Council (COMPET) under the Greek Presidency, chaired by Development & Competitiveness minister, Kostis Hatzidakis, is taking place in Brussels, on 20-21 February.

On the first day of the Council, ministers will hold a policy debate on industrial competitiveness, based on the recent Commission communication “For a European Industrial Renaissance”. The outcome of the debate will feed into the debate on industrial competitiveness to take place at the next EU summit on 20 and 21 March.  Ministers will also hold a debate on the Commission's Annual Growth Survey (AGS) for 2014.

The meeting begins at 10:00 (CET) and live broadcasting will be available here from 09:00 (CET)
