Stay connected on election night and get real-time European elections results

Watch live the European elections results and follow online every step of the election night on the European Parliament’s website, on Sunday, 25 May 2014. In a live interactive event, the results, collected from all member states will be presented in open data format. The first estimations at the European level will be published from about 22:00 CEST. The last polling stations will close at 23:00 CEST on 25 May 2014 and the first preliminary results both at European level and national levels will be available from about the same time. The data, offered in open format, includes EU-wide and national election results for both 2009 and 2014, turnout, seats by political group and member state, and the number of male and female MEPs.
 
During these elections the EP has made a range of tools available to make it easier for the general public, bloggers and the media to cover the results. With the help of tools such as the Embeddable widget and XML files all interested users will have the possibility to automatically retrieve raw data. 
 

European Parliament elections – Press Centre in Athens 

The Secretariat General of Information and Communication - Secretariat General of Mass Media (SGIC-SGMM) has set up a Press Centre to facilitate Greek and foreign media representatives wishing to cover the European Parliament election (Sunday, 25 May 2014). It is located in the premises of SGIC-SGMM, at 11, Fragoudi and Al. Pantou Street, Kallithea, Athens.
 
The facilities of the Press Centre include:
250 work stations; PCs with internet access 
wi-fi 
printer, photocopy, telephone and fax facilities 
a nine-screen vidiwall and TV sets. 
 
The Press Centre will be open on Saturday 24 May 2014 (10:00 am to 08:00 pm local time) and on Sunday 25 May 2014 (09:00 am until the finalization of results).
